And have only been taking formal ladk lessons for 2 years now. My piano teacher, who is Russian, told me she is thinking of giving “The Lark” to me to learn next. I’m thinking that means the actual music is by Glinka – but that Glinka wrote it to be performed by other instrumentation – and the piano “version” is by Balakirev. I’ve never seen the original.
