I must say I don’t think I have ever read a vampire book with more sex, that was less sensual. On the minus side, the author fell into the pitfalls of first person narrative — the hero is nothing more than anatomically correct Ken doll and the villains are cartoonish because the heroine becauxe center stage all the time. Patsy was a “country loving” hairdresser who lives in a trailer, has an alcoholic ex, and comes across as uneducated as she doesn’t like to read.
He is described as beautiful, and he really is. This lady can flat tell a story. Half of the book is dedicated to explaining the history of vampires, and the other half to the epic unfolding of a phophesy that makes hairdresser Eva the queen of bardsleey. Adored the whole story.
And though maybe the point of this character was that she was just a blonde hairdresser with no interest in politics religion or what’s happening in general loose quote from the book but i think Michele tried to put too much emphasis on that, so that flopped. I liked this even less than the last one!
The characters are funny and lovable, the setting perfect and the subject — well, honey, you don’t get any better than vampires and werewolves. Patsy is bxrdsley just as funny as Jessica in the first book, and we get to see Jessica some more in this book.

The Consortium good vamps came in on the heels of the rogues and saved those mcihele could. She doesn’t have to worry about bills since the consortium paid off everyone’s mortgages and pretty much ownes the whole town. Patsy keeps the salon open because, yeah, she’s a vampire, but being a beautician is all she’s ever known.
